Digital Infrastructure Sector

The "Digital infrastructure" sector is represented by the following categories of entities:

  • Internet providers exchange points within the meaning of the definition in art. 6 point 18 of Directive (EU) 2022/2.555 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 14 December 2022 on measures for a high common level of cyber security in the Union, amending Regulation (EU) no. 910/2014 and Directive (EU) 2018/1.972 and repealing Directive (EU) 2016/1.148 (NIS 2 Directive), hereinafter referred to as Directive (EU) 2022/2.555
  • DNS service providers within the meaning of the definition in art. 3 lit. D) from Law no. 362/2018 on ensuring a common high level of security of networks and IT systems, with subsequent amendments and additions, except for primary name server operators
  • Providers of first-level domain name registries within the meaning of the definition in art. 6 point 21 of Directive (EU) 2022/2.555
  • Cloud computing service providers within the meaning of the definition in art. 6 point 30 of Directive (EU) 2022/2.555
  • Data center service providers within the meaning of the definition in art. 6 point 31 of Directive (EU) 2022/2.555
  • Providers of content provision networks within the meaning of the definition in art. 6 point 32 of Directive (EU) 2022/2.555
  • Trust service providers within the meaning of the definition in art. 3 point 19 of Regulation (EU) no. 910/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 July 2014 on electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions on the internal market and repealing Directive 1999/93/EC
  • Providers of public electronic communications networks within the meaning of the definition in art. 4 para. (1) point 6 of the Government Emergency Ordinance no. 111/2011 regarding electronic communications, approved with amendments and additions by Law no. 140/2012, with subsequent amendments and additions
  • Providers of electronic communications services within the meaning of the definition in art. 4 para. (1) point 9 of the Government Emergency Ordinance no. 111/2011, approved with amendments and additions by Law no. 140/2012, with subsequent amendments and additions, insofar as their services are intended for the public

in accordance with the provisions DECISION no. 55 of January 31, 2025 for the approval of the list of competent sectoral authorities in the field of resilience of critical entities , the competent sectoral authorities for the "Digital Infrastructure" sector are Ministry of Economy, Digitalization, Entrepreneurship and Tourism , National Authority for Communications Administration and Regulation , as well as Ministry of Finance .
