The "Wastewater" sector is constituted by the category of entities - Enterprises that collect, evacuate or treat domestic wastewater, industrial wastewater and urban wastewater, within the meaning of the definition in art. 3 lit. P)-r) of the Water Supply and Sewerage Service Law no. 241/2006, republished, with subsequent amendments and additions, with the exception of enterprises for which the collection, discharge or treatment of domestic wastewater, industrial wastewater and urban wastewater is a non-essential part of their general activity

in accordance with the provisions DECISION no. 55 of January 31, 2025 for the approval of the list of competent sectoral authorities in the field of resilience of critical entities , the competent sectoral authorities for the "Wastewater" sector are the Ministry of Development, Public Works and Administration, as well as the Ministry of Environment, Water and Forests.
