Financial Market Infrastructure Sector

The "Infrastructures of the financial market" sector is represented by the following categories of entities:

• The operators of trading places within the meaning of the definition in art. 3 paragraph (1) point 40 of Law no. 126/2018 on financial instruments markets, with subsequent amendments and additions
• Central counterparties (CCP) within the meaning of the definition in art. 2 point 1 of Regulation (EU) no. 648/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 4 July 2012 on OTC derivatives, central counterparties and central trade repositories
• Institutions that ensure the performance of collection and payment operations regarding public funds, including those regarding public debt, and other state operations

in accordance with the provisions DECISION no. 55 of January 31, 2025 for the approval of the list of competent sectoral authorities in the field of resilience of critical entities , the competent sectoral authorities for the "Financial market infrastructures" sector are Ministry of Finance and National Bank of Romania .
